Gunasheela surgical & Maternity hospital which is one of the oldest private hospitals in the country specialized in Gastrointestinal Surgery, High Risk Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine and has to its credit the first baby through assisted reproductive technology in South India is happy to announce its collaboration with the Indian Center for Endometriosis (ICE) headed by Dr. Abhishek Mangeshikar.
ICE is an international referral center for patients with advanced endometriosis and pelvic pain disorders. Dr. Abhishek Mangeshikar has obtained his fellowship in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and gynaecological oncology from the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. He is routinely invited as an international expert on surgical techniques in endometriosis and is the coordinator for Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship Program at the MGM Medical College in Navi, Mumbai.
Gunasheela Hospital’s Surgical Department is headed by Dr. Rajsekhar Nayak who is one of the foremost laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgeons in Karnataka. Having obtained his double FRCS in surgical training in England from the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and Glasgow, he returned to Bangalore and was one of the chief surgeons responsible in bringing the department of surgical gastroenterology in Victoria hospital to the forefront.
He has extensive experience in lap gastrointestinal surgery and in onco surgery. He is also the director of Gunasheela Hospital. He will be operating with Dr. Abhishek Mangeshikar to handle the intestinal problems that may arise in deep infiltrating endometriosis. He will be ably assisted by Dr. Vasanth Kumar who is also a surgeon and has been associated with Gunasheela Hospital for more than 13 years and the gynaecological team of 7 consultants in Gunasheela, Bangalore.
