Exploring the Power of Genetic Testing

The genetic tests needed for infertility will depend on the underlying cause of infertility. Some common genetic tests used to investigate infertility include karyotyping, Y chromosome microdeletions, and Pre-implantation Genetic Testing. Other tests may include ovarian reserve testing, sperm DNA fragmentation Analysis and Genetic carrier screening.

1.Chromosomal Analysis: A chromosomal analysis test is used to identify any chromosomal anomalies that may be causing infertility

2.Ovarian Reserve Testing: Ovarian reserve testing is done to measure the number of remaining eggs in a woman‘s ovaries

3. Hormone Testing: Hormone testing is done to measure the levels of reproductive hormones in the body, such as FSH, LH, estradiol and progesterone

4. Semen Analysis: A semen analysis is done to evaluate the quality and quantity of sperm in a man‘s ejaculate

5.Genetic Testing: Genetic testing is used to identify any genetic abnormalities that may be causing infertility
